Our History & Vision

North Shore Paediatric Dentistry was set up in 2013 and initially working out of Crows Nest. In 2015, NSPD acquired rooms in Pymble.

Smiles that go miles has always and still remains the premise of how we practice. Our deepest belief lies in the importance of imparting/creating/ensuring dental awareness to the child and parent with good oral hygiene regimes that will enhance smiles into their adulthood.

North Shore Paediatric Dentistry’s vision has always been to treat every child as unique, and ensure their optimal dental health which transforms into a better quality of life and lifestyle. We, at NSPD believe that identifying dental disease and their causative modifying factors early, enable us to restore optimal function and thereby empower our children and their parents with knowledge that is, crucial in preventing future disease.

Dr Prashanth Kumar Dhanpal

With his warm smile and gentle manner, Dr Prashanth helps make dental visits a breeze for our young patients. As a Specialist Paediatric Dentist and fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, he brings both expertise and a child-friendly approach to every appointment. When not creating healthy smiles, Dr Prashanth enjoys cricket and spending time with his children, who help him stay up-to-date with the latest kids’ interests!

Dr Yvonne Chau

Dr Yvonne’s caring nature and artistic flair help put our littlest patients at ease. As a Specialist Paediatric Dentist with distinction from The University of Hong Kong, she combines clinical excellence with a natural ability to make children feel comfortable. Dr Yvonne speaks both English and Cantonese, helping more families access quality dental care. Her creative hobbies come in handy when making dental visits fun and engaging for children.

Dr Nicole Olivera

Dr Nicole graduated at the top of her class in both general dentistry and specialist paediatric dental training at the University of Sydney. She brings a calm, caring and child-centred approach to paediatric dental care and is committed to building positive, trusting relationships with her patients and their families.

Her clinical interests include the management of complex dental trauma, developmental dental anomalies, and the care of children with special needs. Dr Nicole works closely with referring practitioners to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.

We are confident that Dr Nicole will be a valuable addition to our specialist team and a trusted clinician for your paediatric referrals and we are excited for her to join our team.
